Shorter-term vacation rental house owners in Cathedral City will have up to date rules to comply with in May perhaps, as the Metropolis Council handed an ordinance amending some of its guidelines for the properties on Wednesday. 

The city’s ordinance phases out quick-expression rentals by 2023. It prohibits short-phrase rentals without valid permits, does not renew permits past 2023 and will not challenge new permits. Cathedral Town will also prohibit working with homes as small-time period rentals setting up in 2023.
